Tuyen T. Tran, MD, is owner and Chief Executive Officer for 2nd Chance. He received his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Medicine. Dr. Tran also holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Regis University. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin and his residency in internal medicine at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. Dr. Tran is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM), the Kentucky Medical Society, and the Lexington Medical Society. Dr. Tran is board certified in internal medicine and addiction.

2nd Chance clinic is conveniently located in the heart of Central Kentucky.  We provide a wide array of opiate addiction treatment services in order to meet your individual needs.  This can include meeting with a physician, individual or group therapy, and targeted case management services.  


2nd Chance is licensed as an AODE and BHSO. We have also obtained our CARF accreditation. All of our team members are attentive and willing to help you to overcome your opiate addiction.

All who are associated with carrying out the mission of 2nd Chance are governed by the following values...

1.       Addiction is a chronic, relapsing disease, and should be treated as such in a medical and psycho-social manner

OUR MISSION

The Partners

2nd Chance Clinic began in 2012 with just three doctors and limited office space. Today the organization provides support and services annually to approximately 800 individuals with Substance Use Disorders. 2nd Chance now occupies over 9,000 square feet of office space to accommodate two intake offices, three physician’s offices, twelve counseling offices, three case management offices, and two group rooms.

2nd Chance mission is to provide individual outpatient medication assisted treatment necessary for people to reclaim their lives from the struggle with opiate addiction.

Marvin A. Bishop, MD, is owner and Chief Financial Officer for 2nd Chance. Dr. Bishop currently runs a private practice specializing in endocrinology. He has practiced emergency medicine at the Lexington Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center. He earned his undergraduate degree and received his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Kentucky. He completed his residency in internal medicine and fellowship in endocrinology at University Hospital in Cincinnati. Dr. Bishop is board-certified in internal medicine and endocrinology.  He also has a Masters degree in Business Administration from Kelley School of Business. Dr. Bishop has served on the Legislative Committee for the Kentucky Medical Association.
